Wow – this summer is shaping up to be a busy one! (Hence my slightly late post again….) It’s been a non-stop month since New Designers, and August is looking even more exciting. My work will be on show at a grand total of three simultaneous exhibitions…

First up is Club Jewl – a collective of six emerging jewellery designers in the early stages of their careers. Club Jewl will be exhibiting for a week at the Showcase at Craft Central in Clerkenwell from Tuesday the 18th to Sunday the 23rd August. The collective features AVA Jewellery, Ching Chin Jewellery, GN Jewellery, Farah Qureshi, Elena Timbaliuc and myself.

The work of the collective combines traditional jewellery-smithing techniques, folk handicraft skills and new technological processes and their collections draw on diverse sources of inspiration from architecture and travel to my own scientific and mathematical influences. Hand-made in the UK using precious metals, gemstones and mixed media, their pieces are striking and contemporary with a conceptual approach.

The showcase offers an introduction to the work of these exciting new designers and the opportunity to buy unique pieces to take away. There will be a late-night opening with complimentary drinks on Thursday 20th, and visitors to the event will have the chance to win a £100 voucher to spend on jewellery from the collective. Do pop along for a look!

Also this August, a selection of my pieces will be available to buy at The Workshop, Lewes, as part of their Summer Graduate exhibition, starting 21st August. The Workshop is a lovely little gallery in a historic building dating back to around 900AD, and the surrounding town of Lewes has great food and antique shops to offer in a very pretty setting. So if you fancy a sunny(ish) summer day out in Sussex, do go and check it out! Many of the other jewellers exhibiting were at New Designers along with me in June, so there’s bound to be some exciting work on display.

…..and finally, I will heading overseas for the first time as I take my pieces to Denmark for Copenhagen Jewellery & Watch Show. I will be there as part of the Brand New initiative, set up by the Danish Jewellers Association to enable emerging jewellery brands from around Europe to bring their collections to this prestigious Scandinavian fair. (As you can imagine, I’m very excited and a little nervous too – it’s a big step for EH jewellery!)

This is a trade only show, so in the unlikely event that any of you are around Copenhagen between 19th – 26th August, you will have to register to visit the fair. Otherwise, just give me buzz and we can grab a coffee instead!
